Dr. Gary Rose is a Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology, William James College and a lecturer, Department of Nutrition, Northeastern University.  Dr. Rose has previously held academic appointments at Brown University Schools of Medicine and Public Health, and Tufts University Medical Center.   Dr. Rose has served as an investigator, co-investigator, and consultant on various grants through these institutions as well as through the Veterans Administration Medical Center. His teaching and research interests focus on the integration of motivational and behavioral strategies to promote health, wellness, and peak performance. Dr. Rose maintains an active clinical and training practice, in the office, at the sports field, and on the lecture circuit.

When not working, Dr. Rose is usually engaged in one aspect or another of auto racing. A national instructor for both the Porsche Club of America and the BMW Car Club of America, Dr. Rose currently races Mazda Miatas competitively in the New England Region of the Sports Car Club of America.
